Arabuko Sokoke Forest
Covering over 400 square kilometers, the Sokoke Forest is the last large area of indigenous coastal forest left in Kenya and is the key site for the global survival of six bird species and three mammal species.
The forest is less than 20 minutes away from Ocean Sports Resort and the Arubuko-Sokoke Forest Guides Association has several expert guides who can accompany you on forest walks. The forest has over 260 recorded species of bird and as expert ornithologists, the guides can help you find some of the rare and unique birds of the Sokoke forest. For those who want to see the bigger residents of the forest, there is the Elephant Watering Hole.
